Alix Earle, TikTok star from N.J., under fire for allegedly using racial slur

Social media influencer Alix Earle is under fire on TikTok for offensive comments she allegedly made a decade ago.

Earle, an alum of Red Bank Catholic High School, has 7.1 million followers on TikTok and and 3.8 million on Instagram.

Since September, she has hosted the podcast “Hot Mess with Alix Earle.” In May, the 23-year-old TikTok celebrity became the first digital cover star for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit issue.

In recent days, comments unearthed on Reddit two years ago, allegedly made by a 13-year-old Earle, resurfaced on TikTok.

Screenshots allegedly show a young Earle repeatedly using the N-word in 2014 on the question-and-answer website Ask.fm.

NJ Advance Media has reached out to representatives for Earle.

She has not addressed the comments as they’ve been circulating on TikTok, despite followers asking her to do so.

Earle, now based in Miami, studied business and marketing at the University of Miami.

She was once a marketing intern for her family’s Wall Township-based construction and paving business, the Earle company. Her father is company president Thomas “TJ” Earle.

In a November episode of her podcast filmed for YouTube, Earle returned home to Jersey for Thanksgiving. She introduced her followers and listeners to her family and talked about her upbringing in Monmouth County (her parents, who are divorced, currently live in Red Bank and Point Pleasant). She also talked about questioning if she wanted to keep living in Miami.

Earle is dating Braxton Berrios, 28, wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins.
