On Wednesday evening, NBC will air a two-hour tribute concert featuring some of country music’s biggest stars in celebration of country musician Toby Keith’s life.
Country musicians from all sides of the industry gathered on July 29 to perform in a tribute show for a sold-out crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, paying respects to Keith by singing his hits.
Performers included Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Jelly Roll. Keith’s friend and football player Brett Favre and Keith’s daughter, Krystal Keith, even make appearances.
Keith’s tribute concert also had a philanthropic component. Proceeds from the tribute show benefitted Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and The Toby Keith Foundation’s OK Kids Korral, a nonprofit that provides daytime and overnight lodging for pediatric cancer patients and their families.
