LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 4.18-magnitude earthquake was felt in the Las Vegas Valley Tuesday night.
According to the Nevada Seismological Laboratory, the earthquake started in the Indian Springs area. That’s northwest from the valley.
FOX5 received multiple calls and saw online discussions of people feeling the earthquake.
The earthquake happened around 8:08 p.m., according to the laboratory.
In the past 24 hours, 30 minor aftershocks have been reported near Indian Springs. Wednesday morning, a 2.9-magnitude aftershocks could be felt around 7 a.m.
According to the lab, the tremors originated near Indian Springs, but could be felt nearly 45 miles away.
